blossom,
where others die
blossom, stand, where they fall
blossom, wild child, into beauty
burn bright

  5. Cycle of life, for all blossoms must eventually fade and fall, which makes the call to burn bright even more imperative.

  6. Benjamin, there’s a real defiance building through this one, “blossom, stand, where they fall” hits hard. And ending on “burn bright” instead of circling back to blossom was a smart choice, it gives the poem a different kind of energy right at the close. Strong, confident piece.
