It’s one of those places you get
and you keep looking back
wondering how you made it
just too many obstacles
and odds
and somewhere in your mind
you’re wondering if all is always fate
where does human will and action come in?
or perhaps it’s the desire to keep going
even when out of fuel?
suddenly it’s as if time is rewarding you
though you really do not know what you’ve done
you may be tempted to write a philosophy out of your circumstances
or you may step back and acknowledge
the Graceful Hand of God
that causes His rain
to fall on the good
and evil sinners like us
