Sitting on the toilet seat sometimes makes shitting difficult. So I place a piece of the paper towel on the floor and squat.

The tap in the bathroom has a problem. Water leaks despite closing it tight. Forgotten to place a bucket under it. The slow drops echo in the silence. I try to concentrate on emptying my bowels.

Outside, a cobbler roaming with his trade hits his wooden toolbox, signaling his presence. The strikes sometimes concide with the falling of the drops of water and some churning in my stomach. And I don’t know what to pay attention to.

Sometimes, life gets so busy that it takes efforts to remember one’s name. And there are days, like this one, that all goes quiet, as if the silence before a storm that never comes.

Don’t know if I’m lazy or what, but this morning I just felt like staying in one place, never budging. All day.

But I have places to go. And many things to do.
