when the morning comes

in your mind, yesterday replays
a dissolving past is showcased
you still hear the faintest of screams
Move on, turn over that old page

to reach the climax, you must leaf
through every page, bitter or sweet
using the chances in your hand
to redefine the narrative

characters that are relevant
to the story surely shows up
let the old plants wilt their goodbyes
new ones will sprout when morning comes

let the pain of regrets burn bright
use the light to see through your nights
till you can smile at misfortunes
while you heal from every sore blight

  3. I especially like how you turn regret into a kind of light, Benji. The pain itself helps us see the way forward!
