They sit unsung

we’ll
never
know the fears
and hurts you hide
your deeds, like diamonds,
sit unsung in shadows
of ingratitude and pride
you forged underdogs into stars
with sacrifices of love, Mother,
we’ll never know the shed tears and hurts you hide
