It was the kind of place everyone dreamt of going
Not because it was a place meant for the rich
But because of the peace, quiet, calm
Just something about the place
Calling the soul to come take a look at least once
In a lifetime
So many stories about the place
Of how great friends reconnected there
Of how people met the love of their lives
Couldn’t tell which were myths and which were truth
You can only better judge when you set foot in the place for the first time
And inhale the clean, pure air and breeze that embraces every broken piece within
Even though the place has been renovated, it’s the picture of the old version that’s still in my mind
With the regular places all my friends used to sit, what they ordered and the usual conversations
I still hear the echoes of a forgotten past
