Believe whatever you like. Time will test your convictions. Makes me wonder why we waste time advising and cautioning people.
If their character, attitude, perspectives, resolve, or new path is a good or bad choice, time will tell.
Perhaps the fact that time tests everything (buildings, rocks, mountains, love, hearts, loyalty, fashion, revolutions, empires, kingdoms, military might, etc) should make us hesitant in passing comments.
Why the waste of time? Why the haste?
Perhaps it is a call to rethink our approach. Instead of judging, instead of an instinctive urge to counsel, why not try to understand. Why does this person reason and act the way they do? What circumstances have shaped their outlook on life?
Why not try to understand, our motives for correcting and judging others? Sometimes it is pride, subtle like a mirage, seems we have it, seems we don’t. But it is mostly at the core, solid like coal, colouring how we perceive others.
Certainly, we must share our experiences to save others from falling into pits we’ve fallen into.
But let’s remember, if this universe is this big with its many parts still undiscovered, unexplored, maybe it is a reminder of how little we know, a reminder how silent we should be.
We still have a lot to learn, yet so little time. Why waste precious hours monitoring and evaluating others?
Live your life.
