It was a normal day just like any
We were busy about our activities
It was even the anniversary of a giant telecommunications network
All over town people were in their colours, jubilant
It was probably late afternoon
Suddenly, there was a blast
Louder than a bomb
Or anything that could be imagined
It was the sun itself that had bust
Plunging the Earth into total darkness
Sending shockwaves across the four corners of the Earth
You felt the vibration wherever you were
And there was no doubt in your heart
That this was the end
There was nothing of it any scary  movie could rival
This was horror, tangible, solid enough to be packed into sacks, with plenty to spare
In all directions you heard panic and chaos
Almost at the same time as the blast occurred
Hands were being surged into the air and lifted off Earth, like rockets into space
Into the sky
The grains, of course, were being carried away
The chaff, ironically could not be blown into the air by the winds
I awake, suddenly
To find it all a dream
a strange one indeed
