Outsiders do not understand
They’re quick to judge
Quick to pass comments
But at this stage of my life
I wear a hard shield
Insensitive to attacks
Insensitive to criticisms
Not bothered what they say
Behind me, and in my face
Living my life
Doing my job
Leaving my critics to do theirs
I don’t see any conflict
One day they’ll understand
