Crossroad of life and death

The true pleasures of life

They live in abundance

On the edge of life

Where you can easily cross into death

Don’t you see

Why orgasm is called ‘la petite mort”?

Why working out can sometimes make you feel like you’re dying

Yet longevity and good health drips from such habits

The higher you climb

The fewer your competition

The juicier the reward for hardwork

That is why I came this far

All the way from from line one of this poem

Just to tell you

Never give up

Let those tears mean something

No matter where you’ve reached in this journey

There’s always space

To push a little closer to the edge

Where you feel you’ve exhausted all you’re made of

Where you indeed die

To one life

In order to enter the next

The next level

Unless you, a grain of wheat, fall to the ground

Be trampled underfoot and forgotten in soil

You can never multiply yourself

You can never be truly great
