Whenever you begin something new, if the start looks promising, there will be lots of people to comment and encourage you.
There is usually the tendency to tailor what you’ve started to the likes of your new followers. You are careful not to ‘fall out of grace’ with them.
Road signs. Ignore. Move on. Stick to your original course. Don’t lose your voice. Don’t try to please anyone.
Along the road, most of the original crowd will reduce. There will be some regulars who will constantly like and comment on what you do. And each time you’re creating something new, you will be wondering what they will think about what you are doing.
Another road sign. Ignore when you get there. Keep doing you. Be true to yourself.
You are in full motion, oblivious to every road sign when you look deep inside to produce what you want to, if it sounds like you and stems from the heart, it is enough. They are the real road signs to be obeyed. The rest are just fake and fleeting.
So long as you stick to your internal road signs, you can rest assured that your adventure of self discovery is a success long before you gave ignition to your ambitions.
