Pass it on

She cannot read

She cannot write

Imagine the wealth of potential

Locked behind her walls

Of illiteracy

If you can read this

Help another to see

  1. I love this, Benjamin. I love the last line and how it makes us see how fortunate we are to be able to read. I wrote a poem on this subject a while back and still feel so passionate about it. Thanks for sharing.💕💕💕💕

    1. Grace, it is a pleasure to have you comment on this piece.
I have acquired so many ideas through reading and there’s so much I wish to do with my life. I feel sad that another person might never realize their potential simply because they can neither read nor write and it is my passion to help people, especially mothers who cannot read and write, to learn to do so and help them discover their talents.

I would like the link to your poem you made mention of in your comment.
