She believed he always loved her. They had little misunderstandings like every other couple, but it was never the kind that escalated into an acrimony that involved the external family, something that threatened a breakup.

And many could attest to how he was so fond of her. He wasn’t a billionaire, but he did everything he could to make sure she was at ease.

Now that he was no more, and they had successfully buried him, why was she now hearing strange things ?

Her deceased husband’s family were disputing over the property of their late relative. What becomes of the widow and the little children left behind were not their concern.

She wasn’t bothered. Thankfully, she had a business of her own that was doing well and could support her children. The task of taking care of a family can be daunting for a widow. Fortunately, some good old friends of her late husband promised to assist with the children’s education. What was left was rent and feeding which her business could absorb.

What bothered her most was one woman who claimed she was also married to her late husband and deserved some of his property being looted by his family. Was she faking it for the money? Did the external family set her up to make some money out of her, or was she genuinely in some relationship with her ex husband ?

They had expected her to fight back. But she didn’t have that energy. Her business and children were her preoccupations.

She’s decided to never harbour any ill feelings towards her former husband. He had always being good to her. And it wasn’t now that she would allow rumours taint the good image her deceased husband left behind.
