Today you have the power to squash someone underneath your toe. But the human spirit is unlike the body of an insect. It’s tough, refuses to die, keep coming, and will always strike back.

Imagine the spirit of an entire nation. What is the sense in abusing power? No matter how powerful you are, how long can you live? Yet the consequences of our actions live long after us.

What world do we want to leave behind for our children? One filled with vengeful souls that will go all lengths to avenge the blood of innocent fathers? Or one in which people of different faiths, different colours live in one community, their children holding hands and playing together under one sun?

How much money can one amass and which place on earth is so secure that no hacker or bank robber can never penetrate?

Must we wait till we die before our will comes to effect? While alive, can’t we give out gifts and help those who need our help and will our properties to those we trust will take proper care of them and use them for their intended purposes?

We may hire the media to tell our tales with the hope of forcing the future to read history from our perspectives, but like a dead corpse, the truth will always refuse to remain underwater. It will one day resurface, stinking, drawing attention from all over to itself.

What do you see # 323- 12 January, 2026
