A little boy stands behind a window, watching passersby.

First comes a grandma with her granddaughter and a dog, moving past the window pane, like characters on a giant TV screen, moving from left to right.

Their steps fade away, together with the constant grunts of grandma. Boy couldn’t tell whether they were meant for the dog or daughter.

“Hurry… Hurry…” grandma seems to be saying.

The screen is again blank except for the movement of leaves wallowing in the winds outside, and the muffled notes of some birds far away.

Occasionally, the voices of the little boy’s parents and those of the guests in the living room reached the window and the boy wondered if those passing outside could also hear.

A man and a woman suddenly pop up on the screen, this time from left towards right. They appear to be engrossed in some serious chatter. Boy wonders what it could all be about.

Then suddenly the screen gets filled with animated movements of crowds of people that soon trickle to a few, then a little boy who stops to stare at the transparent glass window and the little figure behind it.

Everyday, people hurry past the window to places. Some familiar faces, many unfamiliar ones, always going somewhere.

Little boy tries to imagine their destinations and to what purpose all these busyness.
