What does a game teach us?
To not wait till we are down by many goals
And suddenly start playing with all our hearts
A few seconds to end of game

A game is won off pitch
Where there are no spectators
No applause, only sweat and silence
It’s where plans are rehearsed, modified
Codified
A large room for mistakes and improvement

Why seek opportunities
Before shining
Why not shine in that closet
Turning it into an arena
Where many flock to witness
How stars glow in a furnace

And this question of attention
Why can’t  I be
A lifelong performer and spectator
Of myself?
