Distant lands look greener
Till the curious mind sails away
Crossing oceans, deserts and miles
Crossing sticks, stones and thorns
To discover that people in distant lands
Are just like those back home
People of foreign lands too
Have heartaches, headaches, and coughs
Breakups, moments of joy and sorrows
They eat, they die
But as nature likes to reward the curious mind
She gives to the inquisitive
Insights, perspectives, stories, experiences
That could never have been gleaned from their homelands
