They ask me why I’ve become quiet these days. I do not answer.

And when they insist, “There’s nothing,” is all I say. They don’t believe. I don’t care.

Things change. People must level up. I realized the need for distance. Respect is important for maintaining long term relations with people. We laugh together too often, someone forgets their limits. And that someone is always somebody who doesn’t want to be reminded of lines they’ve crossed.

A mirror is something everyone must own. Haven’t looked myself in the mirror for a while. And when I did, it was a humbling image. I need time to work on me. It’s easy to fantasize about how great we are and can be. But the mirror, it doesn’t lie. It tells you unpleasant things no one has the courage to say.

Change is painful. As painful as the bitter truth that necessitates it. But the rewards of humility are endless. The humility of accepting defects and getting to work on them.

It takes courage to take oneself off the shelf for maintenance. A product’s price can go up when extra efforts are put into refining it’s quality and making it more appealing.

Thats why I go to work on myself and have become quiet, and instead prefer talking to myself. I remind myself that everything is gonna be OK. That the future is bright. That wherever there’s a star shining, there’s one in the background preparing to take over, and that the future belongs to those who take the pains of preparing for and creating it.

Now I know, that many names whose sweet scent are all over the world, it’s fire and winds that spread them far and wide. And that if one cannot endure fire and storms, one might as well hide in one’s hole and die a worm.
