There are lonely people in the world. Many, actually. And even some people who seem to have it all together, you have no idea what they’re going through personally. Some might even be contemplating suicide.

There are many concepts in the world that we think we understand. Maybe we’ve looked them up in the dictionary. Or we’ve seen a friend go through something similar. Or we’ve heard a lot of people talk of those concepts, ideas or philosophies.

But nothing can be compared to living an experience, being living proof of one that has survived an ordeal.

Hence, God intentionally make us go through certain difficulties, lonely moments, pain, tough times, so that we are now in a good position to minister to those in those trying conditions, we are in a position to encourage, mentor, coach, advise and push others to go to heights didn’t have the privilege of reaching.

Sometimes we go through hard times and afterwards, we seem to forget the lessons we were not supposed to miss. Some of those lessons are that no one was there for us and that we too can be there for others who have no one to help them. We are quick to point fingers at others, accusing them of laziness that have impoverished them. Forgetting that some people are gunuinely hardworking, but hardwork alone doesn’t always pay under certain circumstances and systems.

There are lonely people in the world. Let’s keep an eye out for one another, checking up on people occasionally to see how they’re faring. The truth is that people can be very annoying. But if you’re going to focus on the evil that people use to pay the good you do them, you’ll never be nice or smile at anyone, you’ll never want to help anyone again.

But one idiot shouldn’t be the reason why so many helpless people wouldn’t receive your assistance.

Shine, no matter whatever circumstances tries to dim your light. Be good, no matter what.

See that person who needs your help as a biological brother or sister or father or mother, overlook past offences suffered and do good. In a family, siblings offend one another. But it’s no reason to kill one another, neither is it reason to disown one another.

Overlook the offences, shine. There are lonely people in this world who have no one to comfort them.

Reach out.
