I cast my net wide
The temptation to draw up
The little fish circling in the net
Is strong, but I resist
Hunger pushes
But I hold on
If this net must be filled
With varieties of big fishes
I must be patient
But patience, like fuel
Runs out
I have reaped the fruits
Of impatience
Fruits that never mature
Into anything useful
Now, I come on bended knees
For a second chance
To begin afresh
To begin sowing new seeds
Of patience
Wondering how long
This cultivation season will take
But I shall wait for harvest
The harvest of patience
