Concentrated milk

He forgot

He was in a hurry

His last can of concentrated milk

He hopes will last him an eternity and a few days +

He forgot to properly cover it

Forgot to close the window

Forgot to turn off the light in the kitchen

But the little ants

They don’t forget

They never forget

That a new can of concentrated milk walked in yesterday

From the supermarket

And courtesy demands that they visit

People are sweet

And so each one of them would love to taste

Just a little

Of their new neighbor

Little did they know

That it was the room owner’s last savings

Disguised as a can of concentrated milk

A can of concentrated hopes

Yes, those pesky little ants will eat you out of house and home 😊.

😅 😅 can’t stop laughing. I have had some of my favorite meals ruined by those annoying ants. I would cover my food tightly and hide it and leave for work. By the time I return, they have already taken their juicy bites and left me a riddle of leftovers to solve 😄.

      Thanks, Grace.

When I started trying my hands on poetry, I was clumsy at it and wondered how to get the inspiration each time to write a new one.

But reading your poems really inspired me. The fact that you write new poems daily. I admire your consistency and the wonderful poems you write.

It’s a pleasure meeting a great poet like you on WordPress.

Now we are friends on Facebook.
