Pay attention to how you react to stress.

One time my problems were so overwhelming, I cut my sim card into two and threw it away.

For weeks, I was out of reach.

The brief period of shutting myself from the rest of the world helped me heal emotionally very quickly. All the connections to my emotional power bank were disconnected.

However, I missed some valuable opportunities that were coming my way because my friends and other important contacts could not reach me.

From that day, I learnt that it was important to shut oneself from the noise of daily hustle and bustle. However, it should be brief and it is no occasion to lose contacts forever.

Unless, of course, certain relationships that must be permanently pruned away.

I have ever since kept my new number. I only put it off when I really need to and I put it on again afterwards.

I paid attention to how I reacted to difficult situations, discarding unhealthy responses and keeping the good ones.

I advice you to do same.
