Many of the citizens of the Zengo Empire never heard of BMS Invisible. They were an elite, highly trained special commando forces for strike backs classified “Impossible” by the Supreme Martial Court of Wilo. They were led by the almighty Jaguar, godfather of Ghost Town.
The invasion was scheduled for 4am. At exactly 2am, Jaguar’s lieutenant Kakutani and his thug of savages approached the Drunken Witch river, a river vital for the supply of reinforcement to their enemy soldiers stationed on the Basilica Amerula.
They secured the river and its bridges, a point marked green on the chart in the war room of the monstrous mansion on the cliff, paving war for the second part of the invasion led by Temptress and an army of foreign mercenaries.
Temptress and her division, crossed the Drunken Witch river and stormed military bases in Brazzaria, which were nothing but pockets of resistance to them.
All obstacles leading to the Basilica had now been cleared for the squadron of special forces led by the god of war, Jaguar himself. This might be their last mission and they were in the mood to make it memorable.
Disguised as Cardinal Nicholas’ guards, Jaguar and his men, on horses, headed for the gates of the Basilica. It was now raining heavily, but the cold, stormy night could not quench the zeal of the soldiers to fulfill their mission.
One of the squad, known as Game Master by the group, suggested that they test the intelligence of the armies stationed on Basilica Amerula. Leaving Game Master alone to head for the gates, Jaguar and the other men retreated into a nearby forest from where they could clearly see the gate.
Having served as a spy within the Cardinal Nicholas Guards for two years, Game Master knew what to say to the gatemen to be allowed entry: “Ikula mihanda varum te ados Deus.”
The guards saluted at once, suddenly looking alarmed. And the mighty gates parted.
The part of the Basilica where the king of Zenga Empire languished in exile was isolated and no one neither went in nor came out during the day or night, except once a month when Commander Lexus himself brought new food and water for the hostage. The cunning soldier, was going to play a trick Jaguar’s father, the empire’s chief spy, had been helping him rehearse for months.
Upon entering the Basilica, he scanned the grounds carefully for the Scorpion Trap, a building specially designed for secretly keeping first class war captives. Recognizing it by the famous apple symbol on its door reported by almost all the spies sent to confirm it, he heaved a sigh, realizing how long this invasion had been in coming.
Nobody knew where Sleeping Dragon was kept for seven long years until Tyron the Mathematician discovered it accidentally while on a train with his family for a vacation on Rufus Island. Knowing the penalty for false rumours in Zenga Empire, he went undercover as a pimp and drug baron to gather the details and be cocksure before informing Jaguar’s father, Caeza de Barbaria.
Rehearsing the trick one last time in his head, Game Master rode the horse slowly through the rain to the centre of the Basilica. Cutting his head with a sword, he raised it with his left hand by the long curly hair on it for it to address the soldiers all around the huge edifice.
Soldiers came out by their hundreds to witness the unusual scene. The decapitated head addressed them: “Unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of….”
Before the talking head could say the last word “peace”, all lights at the Basilica went out. After a few seconds, a cloud of flamed arrows descended swiftly from a window on top of the Basilica unto the horse, its headless rider and the talking head.
Jaguar and his men watching from the forest knew immediately they were up against their equals at Basilica Amerula. Veterans recognized veterans and a bloody battle was about to begin.
A signal was sent to Jaguar’s blood-thirsty militants from Drunken witch to Brazzaria. It was showtime!
